Andalusian heritage, white walls and the Mediterranean, one hour away.
Tétouan, nicknamed “the white dove”, was rebuilt by Andalusian refugees in the 15th century, and its medina is listed by UNESCO. Craftsmen still work in its souks — tanners, weavers, zellige makers — and the Royal Palace square shines white against the green Rif mountains.
After the medina, head down to the Mediterranean for a seafood lunch in Martil or M’diq and a walk on the promenade, before returning to Tangier along the coast road.
One hour on the motorway through the hills to Tétouan.
Feddan square, the palace and the souks of the UNESCO medina.
Down to Martil or M’diq for fish and a walk by the sea.
Back to Tangier along the coast, around 5 pm.
It’s easy to explore on your own, but an official guide helps you find the artisan workshops. We can book one on request.
